Variflow Diaphragm Pump Mk 4
The Variflow Diaphragm pump is a variable output pump with high efficiency ball or poppet valves. High grade engineering plastics for wetted parts enable a wide range of aggressive liquids to be handled with zero leakage. Drive from vertical flange mounted motor via a variable drive unit is through a worm and wheel to the eccentric operating the diaphragm via a push rod. The variable speed drive is manually adjustable via hand wheel with built in gravity wheel indicator with a turn down ratio of 6:1.
Specifications
Size: - Pumps are manufactured with 5/16", 1/2" and 1" stroke with a diaphragm of 3.1/2" diameter. Outputs of up to 500 L/Hr are achieved with pressures up to 6 Bar.
Speed: - Standard electric or air motors of 3000 rpm are employed giving a pump speed of 75 strokes per minute. Alternative motors are available.
Materials of Construction: - The gearbox is of high grade cast iron. Standard construction of the pump head, uPVC or stainless steel with PTFE diaphragm and poppet valves of uPVC or stainless steel. Other materials are available to special order. Standard uPVC units are suitable with liquids up to 600C
Typical Applications - The Variflow Diaphragm is the ideal pump for chemical injection, water treatment dosing, sampling etc., in fact any application where economical positive feed of liquids is required.
