Camborne based Grosvenor Pumps is introducing the two diaphragm pump heads in order to meet health and safety needs, in particular for one of our blue chip clients – a leading manufacturer of aircraft.

“As health and safety guidelines have become stricter, the second diaphragm pump head was introduced to solve the problems our client has” said Grosvenor Pumps Company Secretary, David Handley.

“The pump head consists of a primary diaphragm and secondary diaphragm. In the event of a rupture in the primary diaphragm, the chemical is contained within the secondary diaphragm, and the pump continues pumping normally.”

“We have also fitted a rupture detection mechanism which will instantly activate audio and visual alarms if the primary diaphragm ruptures. In this particular instance, and to meet the needs of our client, we have integrated our new control system ‘Varitronic’ which allows the rupture detection mechanism to be completely integrated by shutting down the pump if a rupture occurs. The Varitronic also links pump delivery into process control”

Available now, the unit can be custom designed to meet your individual needs.

  • Grosvenor Pumps introduces state of the art control system
Cornish pump manufacturer of positive displacement pumps introduces a state of the art electronic control drive to its product range - “Varitronic”. Aimed specifically at industrial automation applications, Varitronic provides a manageable solution to industry with accurate dosing and monitoring, local and remote alarm and security features.

Camborne based Grosvenor Pumps is introducing the Varitronic control system which can be fitted to any Grosvenor Pump and can be controlled locally or remotely – on and off site.

“With increasing need for precision and health & safety requirements our customers wanted alternative means of controlling flow rates rather than using the traditional variators” said Grosvenor Pumps Company Secretary, David Handley.

“The Varitronic eliminates the need to use mechanical variators although some of our customers still need the manual turndown variators which Grosvenor Pumps continues to supply.”

“The Varitronic provides powerful user adaptability to cater for a range of process requirements and application scenarios for instance; the unit can be supplied with a lock-off switch and can be configured to prevent unauthorised access to control parameters. The unit gives high visibility LED display and an indication of pump flow rate as well as alternative real time information.”

Available now, the unit can be sold already integrated into a Grosvenor Pump at an additional cost.
