Varitronic Control System

Varitronic is a new AC electronic drive option allowing flow control in any Grosvenor pump.

The Varitronic can be:

• Supplied fully integrated with any of the Grosvenor pump models or sold individually
• Retro-fitted to current Grosvenor pumps out in industry
• Controlled locally or remotely
• RS485 MODBUS, digital and analogue inputs/outputs allowing easy integration with Process
• Supplied fully weather-proof for harsh industrial environments
• Quick set-up with 14 standard parameters

Technical Information:

The Varitronic is IP66 rated and aimed specifically at Industrial automation applications, requiring Process control options as well as local manual control. The Varitronic modules provide powerful user adaptability to cater for a wealth of Process requirements and application scenarios.

The local keypad control provides basic manual control functions and step menu access to drive parameters. A high visibility LED display provides an indication of pump flow rate, or can be configured to show a number of alternative information such as real-time motor parameters.

Features include an on-board Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller, eliminating the need for additional eternal equipment, and providing the user with an extensive range of programming options for stand-alone pump operation within process. The Varitronic also incorporates a non-specific, scalable input allowing various Transducer hook-ups for PID control.

The Varitronic Frame Size 1 is suitable for 0.37kW up to 1.5kW motors and can ONLY be fitted to a single phase input and a 3 phase output.
